Jade and Scott 10.04.22

Updated: May 8, 2022

On April 10th 2022 I captured the long awaited wedding of Jade and Scott. I met Jade when I moved to Prestatyn in 2019 through an online business group for women, I loved her work and asked her to design the logo for my socials and website. Jade had already mentioned she was in the process of organising her wedding and would I be her photographer. Fast forward to 2022 and the big day finally arrived!

I love a spring wedding and the weather was really very kind, warm and balmy through the day which made for some lovely images. The wedding took place at The Suites Hotel and Spa in Knowlesley, attended by a lovely group of family and friends, who I must say made me feel very welcome.

Jade's father had flown over from Canada to be with his beautiful daughter on her big day, which had been a concern during the midst of COVID, but thankfully restrictions had been lifted and those nearest and dearest to the couple could all attend.

Memorable moments of the day for me will be, well all of it really but some stand out moments that I will remember are, Scott's face when he saw his daughters walking down the aisle and then seeing Jade, it never ever surprises me when I see groom's looking so emotional and full of love and pride , makes my heart melt every time. The bride deciding to tale a "little nap" after the drinks reception, and who can blame her?! getting ready at silly o'clock in the morning and being a mother surely brings a moment when you just want to collapse! we hear you sister! more brides please take note, nothing wrong with a little nap after the ceremony, plus you will feel energised for the rest of the celebrations. The beautiful colours that adorned the ceremony from the soft pink blossom trees and the pastel coloured chair sashes , the cake and the flower wall. Everything looked so pretty , young and fresh. However there is one particularly special moment that I wanted to mention and hope it will make Jade and Scott smile when they read this... throughout the day I spent time talking to the lovely children that were there, Joseph (Jade's son) was amazing from the minute I met him and just after the ceremony I could see he was quite teary and I said.. "are you okay?" to which he replied.. "I have never cried so much in my life.. I'm so happy and my mum looks so beautiful.." and that my friends is why I LOVE photographing weddings.

Jade and Scott, it was a pleasure , be happy always . ❤️
